Rachel Holzer

Rachel Holzer is an attorney at The Feldman Firm. Her practice areas include: insurance bad faith defense and coverage litigation; general liability; and constructional defects. Ms. Holzer has extensive experience practicing in Nevada’s state and federal courts, including the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada.

Ms. Holzer takes pride in strategic litigation planning, and has resolved numerous cases through dispositive motion practice; often times extricating her clients from litigation in the early stages and securing attorney’s fees awards. Ms. Holzer has also obtained defense verdicts in arbitration proceedings, and successfully negotiated favorable settlements for her clients.

Ms. Holzer earned her Bachelor of the Arts in Ecological Studies from Seattle University. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Holzer worked as an environmental scientist; performing Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, as well as toxic mold and asbestos assessments and remediation.

Ms. Holzer attended William S. Boyd Law School in 2006, and was a member of the moot court team competing at the prestigious Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition, held at Brooklyn Law School. While still in law school, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable James C. Mahan, in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Ms. Holzer went on to serve Judge Mahan as a judicial law clerk upon graduating law school in 2009.

Ms. Holzer moved to Las Vegas in 1991. When she is not at the office, she is on her bicycle training. She won the Six-Hour World Time Trial Championship in 2016. Until 2019, Ms. Holzer held the world record in the discipline for every female age group, having travelled 127.2 miles in under six hours. She has also won gold medals in the Maters’ Pan American Games in the time trial and road racing disciplines.
